Black Friday advertise fraud
Our store in Vidalia ga opened at 7:00. Arrived to purchase the 8750 generator.
They said they sold them all Wednesday and they had none! They should have kept some for advertised Friday sale.
I think I should be compensated for not having any fir sale. Call 812-381-****
Long time to order
It took 28 paid minutes to order.
1.The questions were not logical and I suspect the software used. CS jumped around on who was who , where it was going, confusion on the credit card and worse I could not get a gift option because I did not want the price shown.
You would think that with HFs billions profit they could include that on the check out as a lot of women buy gifts for their husbands. So here I am with the price tag on it and where it is from. How hard is it to put on the checkout payment a GIFT OPTION??????. Dozens of store have this service built in on the checkout, why not HF.
It is not just for men! Really annoyed as I do a lot of shopping there only to be told that the packers cannot take out the packing slip. Don't they have to put one in?
2. Since I contract out, why do I have to phone in my Tax Exempt request every single order only to be met with the above example?
Who can run a business like that?
Again why is it not on the checkout? Come on HF you can do better than the system you have now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i called the number on invoice and the manager josh in the carmarillo store hung up on me twice when i call corp they never answer there phone not happy want my 141 dollars back been waiting 2 weeks this is bull and never been treated so disrespectfully before in my life from a so called manager

Harbor freight sucks! A couple weeks ago, I was sent their sales flyer depicting the 6x8 green house on sale for $199.99.
I even called ahead to confirm price and availability.When I got there it rang up $317 and change with tax. Of course I no longer had the coupon but sourced it online. They would NOT honor the sale price stating I had to be an ICP member ro have it at that price, after I was sent a coupon stating otherwise.
Today is 3-15-18 and the coupon expires 3-31-18. The store was located in Wyoming,Pa.The manager was also very ignorant and should not hold a managerial position.

Store Manager of Ventura Threatened me!!
I went to return a pressure washer that did not work after spending $377.10, to be told that in order to return it, I had to empty out the gas from the machine. I had a small gas can in my truck, so I poured the gas into the can over a planter so it didn't spill on the parking lot; when I went back into the store to return the machine, the store manager came up to me and said so you want to return this, and asked if the gas was all out and then said he saw me pouring out the gas in the parking lot.
He then started going off on me in front of customers yelling and screaming at me that it was bad for the environment etc. Clearly he didn't see me dumping it into a gas can... he then threatened to call the cops and use my information from the store receipt and then threatened to come after me and take my picture. Little did he know that I put the gas in my gas can and how dare he threaten me in front of customers and harass me in public over something he knows nothing about!!!
Then threaten to use my contact information???? That is illegal!!!! I am shocked that this is a allowed!
He is a lawsuit waiting to happen. If one of my employees confronted a client it this same manner in front of others they would be fired no questions asked.

Central Machinery 12x36 wood lathe SKU T34706 stopped working
My six month old Central Machinery 12x36 wood lathe SKU T34706 would not turn on.
Their website customer service electronic form allowed reporting this and my request for part numbers for the on/off switch and the motor's capacitor since these were likely the cause.
Harbor Freight confirmed receipt of my service request within 24 hours and answered via EMAIL how to purchase both parts within 48 hours.
Removing the switch for service revealed it was packed with sawdust that insulated its metal contacts.
I cleaned out the wood dust which repaired the problem.
They ask customers not use EMAIL reply, so if they monitor this forum, I am expressing appreciation for prompt support from Michael Roberts at harborfreight.com

Resolved: Customer service non existent. Basically about as low as one can go.
I was contacted by the District Manager who had to Laurel store manager call me and solved the problem and insured that they would have training to cover this type of problem. These men get it.

Harbor Freight Lied About Its LIfetime Tool Guarantee ...
Harbor claims to return any hand tool that fails or is defective over the original lifetime purchaser ... I took a hand tool into a Tucson store today and poke to the Manager named Pablo.
I showed him the failed tool and a copy of my receipt. He told me that since the purchase was more then 90 days that he could not return the tool or credit the purchase with another tool. I explained that the tool was a poor design and how the tool broke and what improvements could be made to make the tool better ... he said that he would pass the inform on, but still could not make a return.
Today, I will call the corporate store and request that I be able to return all tool in my shop ... because I never want to buy from Harbor Freight again.

The way I was treated by the manager disrespected
You can check your records on your computer me and my son were there on Monday to buy a predator 6.5 motor went to use the coupon the lady said that I was not allowed to return the motor and that I was not allowed to purchase it with the coupon then the manager told me to get out of the store I'm an older man the manager has been a real jerk for like 3 years since we've been going to this Harbor Freight in Moreno Valley you really need to discipline this man or else I was going to kick his *** in the parking lot my son really wanted to kick his *** we were disrespected and it was about four witnesses there go back and review your DVR I do security cameras so I know you have it it was about 10:30 on Monday morning I was going to spend almost $300 I wanted the Predator 6.5 motor and they totally jerk me around in front of other people we were very polite you can check your video footage the manager is a total jerk you better do something about that man or he's going to end up in the hospital or you guys are going to get sued I should contact an attorney by the way I was treated also I emailed you a dozen times my wife is emailed you too my name is Terry Hill my phone number is 951-581-**** I'd appreciate a call I spent a lot of money over the years at your store over 30 $40,000 plus I built a store in Beaumont I did all the plumbing there so at least you could help me out please give me a call so we can discuss this matter
False advertisement
The manager of the store name is John was walking around the store with me and my son we were putting things in the buggy we came across a merchandise that I already had in a buggy and came across the same merchandise was cheaper and I decided that I wanted the one that was cheaper and he said I could not have that one because it was put in the wrong place I repeated that it was not my fault and I wanted that one he repeated no I cannot have it so I put the entire buggy back and left out the store because as a customer if a product is put where it is labeled you entitled to pay that advertised price and he refused to give it to me at that price as a manager he should have authorized that price because he was standing beside me when we both saw it so shame on him for not satisfied a customer he does not need to be in that position the price was only a $20 difference but at the end of the day it was about the morals that people stand behind what is advertise will not recommend you our store to family or friends again and will not shop there again customers should always be treated as customers especially when the manager saw did the merchandise was there along with the customer bad judgement on his part. It's not advertising fraud since they're not advertising they have it in stock. Theyre advertising a price.
Plus, if you ask, they can give you a raincheck for the price. It is not their fault it was overly popular and inventory is based on first come first serve, not sales. It wouldn't make sense to save product before a sale.
They're there to make money, not appease you. Call ahead before making the trip next time.
